lovely weekend

sorry I couldn't think of a catchier title but that one fits so well. We went to M's parents yesterday and had a really nice time. FIL had made sam the most fantastic castle (pics to follow) -thank you!! He has played with it non stop. They even managed to find all M's old soliders and knights to go with it. sam was over the moon. It is now safely installed in his bedroom-so that he can play with it while we are asleep (his words!). We had a nice visit with them and M helped his dad set up his new mac.

Today my wonderful husband installed my new dishwasher-yipee!! This is the first time in 20 years that I have had a dishwasher and it was so nice not to have to do the washing up after dinner. He did a fantastic job, despite my assistance. He also put my clothes line so had a very domestic goddess afternoon hanging all my washing out and loading the dishwasher.

Sam helped us with all our jobs and played for ages with his castle. I felt bad that I wasn't able to play with him properly, but he seemed to understand and we did spend the evening trying to put swamp beast back together again. Think we may need to contact hot wheels to get a new set of directions as neither one of us can remember exactly how it goes.

A busyish week ahead, we are meeting friends at a local theme park tomorrow (Twin lakes) and then going to a session on roman life at a local museum ( to tie in with our latin) and he starts swimming lessons on thursday. It is at the pool just down the road so hopefully he will get a chance to make local friends. We are carrying on with normals over the summer, just at a slower pace.

Sounds like you had a delightful Anniversary dinner and a good weekend also. Hope you enjoy the dishwasher, you deserve it. We have relocated to Yellowstone, got here this morning for 3 days, no cell phone and WiFi schetchy at its best. Take care, hugs to Sam
